How Tesoro CRM uses Google user data
Last updated: 9 July 2026
This page explains what Tesoro CRM does, why it connects to your Google account, exactly which data it accesses, and how that data is protected.
Purpose of the application
Tesoro CRM is a customer relationship management (CRM) platform for real estate professionals. Agencies use it to manage contacts, properties, viewings and deals in one place.
Email is a core part of that work. Tesoro CRM therefore offers an optional integration with Gmail (and Outlook), so agents can send and receive email directly from the CRM and keep all client communication next to the client record.
What the Gmail integration does
When you choose to connect your Gmail account, Tesoro CRM uses Google’s official OAuth 2.0 flow. You sign in with Google and explicitly grant access; we never see or store your Google password.
- Send email on your behalf — for example a property proposal or a scheduled follow-up you wrote in the CRM.
- Read and sync email conversations with your contacts, so the full history is visible on the contact card in the CRM.
- Keep the connection alive with a secure token that you can revoke at any time.
What data we access and how we use it
Access to Google user data is limited to what the email features need: email messages (to send, and to display conversations in the CRM) and your email address (to identify the connected mailbox).
This data is used only to provide the email features inside Tesoro CRM to you. We do not sell Google user data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice to you.
Employees do not read your email, except with your explicit permission for support purposes, when required for security reasons, or to comply with applicable law.
Limited Use compliance
Tesoro CRM’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your control over the connection
- You can disconnect Gmail at any time from Settings → Email in Tesoro CRM.
- You can also revoke Tesoro CRM’s access from your Google Account security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).
- Upon disconnection, stored tokens are invalidated. You may request deletion of synced email data via our support.
